Our Leader In Training Program is
Training The Next Generation Of Leaders
Learn to Lead
Our Leader In Training (LIT) program is a volunteer internship program for rising 9th-12th grade students. Throughout the program, students are mentored in leadership skills and principals and given the opportunity to put them into practice.
Starting the months before camp, LITs are discipled and mentored to grow their own relationship with the Lord and to prepare to lead others during camp. LITs attend weekly meetings, participate in group Bible studies, and are involved in the full team meetings and preparation.
The week of camp, LITs serve as assistants and leaders in breakouts teaching and learning alongside campers. They also serve campers by moving them from breakout to breakout, setting up for lunch, and taking bathroom duty. Finally, LITs have daily chores to set up and clean up from camp every day, and to keep the building nice and tidy.
Every morning, LITs have Bible study time together, to get ready for the day, and be filled up so they can pour into the campers. Every afternoon, LITs meet with leadership to debrief the days happenings, learn how they can grow from their past mistakes or successes that day, and pray together (while enjoying snacks).
